Week 20: Activity VS. Inner Communion
Our Affirmation For May
Stanza 5:
“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
Matthew 5:7
Blessed are they who, recognizing the bond they share with all living creatures, are more concerned for others than for themselves. Blessed are they who serve consciously as instruments of divine grace: for in their very giving they shall receive.

From the book
The Beatitudes: Their Inner Meaning by Swami Kriyananda
Rays of One Light: Weekly Commentaries on the
Bible and The Bhagavad Gita
by Swami Kriyananda
As it says in the Bhagavad Gita, the second Chapter:
He who is not shaken by anxiety during times of sorrow, nor elated during times of happiness; who is free from egoic desires and their attendant fear and anger:
Such an one is of steady discrimination.
Week 20 Activity VS. Inner Communion
81. Demand for Balance
By Paramhansa Yogananda
From the Book Whispers From Eternity
O Spirit, teach me to pray and worship incessantly, with deepest concentration.
O Spirit, balance my meditation with devotion, and purify my devotion with
all‐surrendering love unto Thee.
What inspired me from this week’s reading from the Rays of One Light was…
Good deeds, outwardly, without inner communion with God, will result in good karma but will not bring final freedom from all karma.
The path to inner freedom was described by Paramhansa Yogananda in these words:
“Be always calmly active, and actively calm.”
This week I thought we would watch a Youtube video by Swami Kriyananda called Our Inner Champions, and watch a Youtube video by Nayaswami Nirmala & Dharmadas singing Door of my Heart… Which will take us into a longer meditation, practising calmness and inner communion with God in the sacred silence trusting our intuitions.
Our Inner Champions
Door of my Heart
Lyrics
Door of My Heart
(by Paramhansa Yogananda)
Door of my heart, open wide I keep for Thee.
Wilt Thou come, wilt Thou come? just for once come to me?
Will my days fly away without seeing Thee, my Lord?
Night and day, night and day, I look for Thee night and day.
Let’s Meditate in Silence Together…
Thousands of Suns
Lyrics
Thousands of Suns
(by Paramhansa Yogananda)
Who tells me Thou art dark, O my Mother Divine?
Who tells me Thou art dark, O my Mother Divine?
Thousands of suns and moons from Thy body do shine! Thousands of suns and moons from Thy body do shine!
Completion
Aum Peace Amen
Blessings and Love

P.S. It was Sri Yukteswar's Birthday this week which I totally forgot about… I went on Youtube and seen that Ananda Sacremento was having a Friday Kirtan: for Sri Yukteswar Birthday Tribute… So I joined in with them, which was a joy to watch… I have a connection with Sri Yukteswar in many ways… But every time I look at him I see My late Mother… Thank you, Sacramento for a beautiful heartful tribute…
